6 May 2024 - A delegation from the AIC at Universiti Malaya, led by Prof Dato' Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor, visited SME Aerospace in Sungai Buloh to discuss potential industry-academia cooperation and opportunities for joint research and development efforts.
SME Aerospace is a leading player in the Malaysian aerospace industry, with a strong track record in aerospace machining and manufacturing. During the meeting, the CEO of SME Aerospace, Mr Ahmad Fuzli Fuad, expressed his interest in leveraging the university's research capabilities to support the industry's innovation and competitiveness.
"This visit is an important step in fostering stronger industry-academia collaboration, which is essential for driving innovation and competitiveness in the Malaysian aerospace industry," said Prof Dato' Dr Mohd Hamdi.The meeting provided an opportunity to learn more about SME Aerospace's capabilities and growth plans, as such partnerships between universities and aerospace companies will be crucial in developing new technologies and nurturing talent in the industry.
