5 April 2024 - Aerospace Innovation Centre (AIC) UM recently paid a visit to Cyberjaya-based Alphaswift Industries, a leading drone manufacturer specializing in large-sized drones for agriculture and delivery. The AIC delegation, comprising Dr. Raja Ariffin, Mr. Mohd Fadzil, and Mr. Gan Woun Yoong, were welcomed by Dr. Shien Lee (CEO) and Mr. Alber Chan (COO) of Alphaswift Industries.The purpose of the visit was to explore potential research collaboration activities and student internship programs, fostering a closer relationship between the two entities. The AIC representatives were given a comprehensive tour of the facility, where they were introduced to Alphaswift's cutting-edge hybrid drones, renowned for their extended running time capabilities.The hybrid drones, a significant innovation in the industry, have captured the attention of the AIC delegation, who were eager to learn more about their design and functionality. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas and explore potential areas of collaboration, paving the way for a stronger partnership between AIC UM and Alphaswift Industries.
