Kuala Lumpur, July 30, 2025 – Five aerospace engineering students from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), France, completed an intensive full-day visit to Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MABES) Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities today as part of their internship programme with Universiti Malaya's Aerospace Innovation Centre (AIC). The visiting students, who are currently attached to AIC under an international internship programme, spent the entire day exploring Malaysia Airlines' state-of-the-art MRO operations, touring aircraft hangars, component workshops, and quality control laboratories while gaining valuable insights into commercial aviation maintenance practices and industry standards.
This visit is part of the ongoing collaboration between Universiti Malaya's Aerospace Innovation Centre and international academic institutions as well as the industry, providing the students with invaluable real-world exposure to aerospace industry operations. They had the opportunity to interact with experienced technicians and engineers, learning about cutting-edge aircraft maintenance procedures, regulatory compliance requirements, and best practices in aircraft servicing, allowing them to witness firsthand how theoretical knowledge translates into practical applications in the commercial aviation sector.
