5 April 2023 - The Consortium of Malaysian Universities with MIGHT, headed by Universiti Malaya, is set to sign a collaboration agreement with Turkish Aerospace Industries, a leading aerospace and defense company based in Turkiye. The collaboration aims to foster joint research and development efforts in the field of aerospace, with a focus on advancing cutting-edge technologies, student internship and knowledge exchange. Dr. Raja Ariffin, as a member of the consortium, expressed excitement about the upcoming collaboration. In the interview, he highlighted the potential benefits of the partnership, stating, "This collaboration with Turkish Aerospace Industries presents a unique opportunity for our Malaysian universities to strengthen our research capabilities in aerospace technology and innovation, and for our students to have a direct exposure to the aerospace industry".
The signing ceremony for the 3 years collaboration agreement is scheduled to take place at the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia on Friday 7th April 2023. The event is expected to be attended by senior representatives from both countries, including the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, as well as other distinguished guests from the aerospace industry and academia.
